Enhance management and focus on implementation: strengthen efficient, scientific, meticulous, and standardized management, and promote a pragmatic work style. 6. Enhance confidence and overcome difficulties: everyone at NJU is an indispensable participant in the development of the Suzhou campus, taking on key tasks with confidence and resilience. He emphasized that developing Suzhou campus is a shared responsibility of all at NJU. Everyone should emancipate their minds, work together, and overcome difficulties to meet the expectations of President Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee, contributing to building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.

Tan Zhemin expressed heartfelt thanks to the faculty and staff for their dedication to the development of Suzhou campus. He noted that the development has entered a new phase, requiring rethinking and planning for further enhancement and breakthroughs. He outlined four future work requirements: 1. Discipline Construction: stay true to the original mission, focusing on developing new engineering disciplines and making the Suzhou campus the main base for this, while enhancing interdisciplinary integration and planning for major scientific research facilities. 2. Talent Cultivation: promote reform and innovation in talent cultivation, maintain open education, and strengthen communication and cooperation between departments and colleges to establish the NJU model for new engineering talent cultivation. 3. Team Building: strengthen talent recruitment and development, seize opportunities and resources, and promote balanced development across disciplines. 4. Management System: innovate in system reform, plan ahead, enhance coordination, optimize resource allocation, and deepen reform and innovation.
